Voile d'Encens carves out a spot as one of the most unique, most thought-provoking incense fragrances out there today. Through a marvelous blending of frankincense, elemi, pear and rhubarb, it's as though the perfumer has bottled the literal sticky sap of evergreen forest trees. His restrained use of tonka rounds out the fragrance rather than overwhelms it. A white "veil" for some time, like the thick air in a Bavarian forest during heavy snowfall...until a smoldering woody accord creeps in, casting a dark veil on the land.
Those who love frankincense or evergreen forest fragrances ought to get their hands on Voile d'Encens. We feel comfortable referring to it as a sublime frankincense masterpiece.
