A delightfully delicate fragrance, Trimerous begins with the scent of dry paper, as though you are flipping through the pages of a brand-new book. Soon to follow, a surprising segue into a fruity phase of perfectly ripe nectarine. The nectarine smells clean and gentle, not especially sweet, like you're sniffing the whole fruit before slicing it. The drydown reveals creamy, sueded musk and whisps of spice and incense, but at no point are any of the notes especially intense. Like Nectary of the same house, fruit plays a large roll in the fragrance, but instead of being too youthful or one-dimensional as fruity perfumes can be, there is an unexpected elegance to Trimerous; an effortless synergy between each and every note, like an intricate watercolor painting.
We believe the key to the subdued timbre, smooth transitions and angelic elegance is orris butter, the darling of the perfume industry. While we are probably all familiar with the myriad of cool and aloof orris/iris fragrances, Trimerous endears us with its summer fruit and inviting warmth. Admirable work!
