Family: Floral woody
Perfumer: John Biebel
Notes: Rose, bergamot, saffron, roasted seashells, frankincense, elder flower, patchouli, cade, agarwood, labdanum
A variation on the same theme as the original Smolderose parfum oil but different too. Many will find this EDP more subtly smoky than its predecessor. The frankincense is bright and citrusy, and elder flower's natural fruitiness creates a novel jamminess, more clean and fresh than sticky and balsamic. A wisp of last night's bonfire smoke as well as a pinch of mineralic salt are imparted by choyas, an extraction that results from an ancient Indian process of burning and distilling seashells.
While these notes might seem to take this rose in many different directions, it's ultimately extremely cohesive, forming a picture of the perfect voluptuous rose, in bloom at its peak of fragrance, not a hint of brown to be found on its petals or leaves. This is a fairytale rose.
Layers well with Smolderose parfum oil.
