EAU DE PARFUM
Perfumer: Hiram Green
Notes: Bergamot, violet, carnation, orris, amber
A breathtaking violet fragrance, Vivacious will satisfy any violet aficionado, but it will also surprise as well. Upon first sniff, we perceive a photorealistic violet along with a tin of violet pastilles. A sweep of the finest face powder mixed with the scent of crisp, starched shirts brings a nostalgic sense of comfort. At first one may judge the perfume as fairly austere, but soon a lively carnation steps in to add a little pep in this violet's step with it's vibrant green spiciness and petal-fresh effervescence. What we find fascinating is the carnation's prominence, yet it never takes over the violet.
Vivacious' heart reveals a delicate layer of clean amber. In the base, a very subtle mushroom-leaning earthiness lends a certain coolness to the violet when carnation's fire finally burns out.
Vivacious seems fitting for any Victorian Era gentlewoman...as long as she's not too rigid. Mary Poppins perhaps? Someone who can turn a job into a game.
