by Centauri Perfumes
EXTRAÎT DE PARFUM
Perfumer: Peter Carter
Notes: Grapefruit, black currant, berries, aldehyde, rose, air, blonde woods, iris, sambac jasmine, musk
The third fragrance from Centauri represents the future and all its possibilities. It is the perfumer's "scent vision" of the air on a new world, perhaps the air on nearby star Proxima Centauri.
Proxima opens with the sweet temptation of juicy black currants. It seems to represent a new frontier for humanity that is ripe for the picking both literally and figuratively. Soft florals of rose and jasmine make their way into the heart, but their fragrance is skillfully blurred by delicate iris coupled with an airy note that brings a touch of mystery and a sense of wonder. Blonde woods provide an earthy quality, like a distant memory of our familiar home. Proxima smells like a vacuum--a sweet, dreamy vacuum--a seamless and unique mix of air and fruit that is incredibly pleasant to wear.
